About rohini

Rohini is a 30-year-old upmarket and well-developed residential sub city in North West Delhi in India, widely considered as one of the upfront residential areas of the capital. It is the second largest sub city in Asia- after Dwarka Sub City in South West Delhi. It was the first mega sub-city project of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in the urban extension of Delhi, started in 1980s to provide composite society, for all income groups. Rohini Sub City consists of two part zones namely Zone “H” Part (Phase I and phase II) and Zone “M” Part (Phase III, IV and V).

Metro connectivity

It has three stations on Red Line of Delhi Metro Line 1, which connects from Dilshad Garden, Kashmere Gate to Rohini East, Rohini West and Rithala Stations, making it one of Delhi Metro’s major hubs.

Following extensions of routes are proposed:

(i). From existing Rithala Station up to Barwala (Rohini Ph.IV-V)

(ii). From Sanjay Gandhi Transport Terminal to Narela.

(iii). Under Phase III, the Yellow Line is expected to be extended further north from Jahangirpuri station by 4.48 km. Two addition stations will be built to extend the line to Badli: 1) Shalimar Bagh 2) Rohini Sector 18 3) Badli

Overview

Located righting the centre of sector-8,10,11,12 & 13 the arcade stands firm to cater commercial needs of approximately 62 residential group housing societies and a population of approximately 7lac residents. From spacious parkings and lush green parks the arcade is surrounded by planned suburbs. This is the reason the sec-9 of rohini has a second name called ”Mini Connaught place”

About Mukherjee nagar

 Mukherji Nagar Or Kingsway Camp officially known as Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar (GTB Nagar), since 1970, is a historic area located in North Delhi, near Civil Lines and Delhi University. It starts from Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar (GTB) Chauraha (passing), and has residential areas like Hudson Lines and Outram Lines. Localities like Dhaka Village,and Hakikat Nagarnearby close. Though it is most known for the Coronation Park, where the foundation of the new capital of British IndiaNew Delhi, north of Old Delhi, was laid in December, 1911, by King George V.

Originally named after Kingsway, an avenue which was built as a precursor to the construction of residence of the Viceroy of India, after the Delhi Durbar of 1911, though its location was finally shifted to the Raisina Hill, its present location, as was the road titled Kingsway, now known as Rajpath. The area stretched over twenty-five square miles from banks of Yamuna Riverin the east to Shalimar Bagh in the west. Post independence in 1947, it became the venue of the largest refugee camp in Delhi, housing 3,00,000 refugees. Today, it is posh residential locality, with a large number of students residing in the area owing to its proximity with the Delhi University; it serviced by the GTB Nagar underground station of Delhi Metro.
